Project Coordinator, Manufacturing

About Bobbie Bobbie makes European-style organic infant formula manufactured end-to-end in the U.S., because we believe every parent deserves to feed their baby with confidence, without judgment and without compromise. No mystery ingredients. No shortcuts. Just clean, thoughtfully made formula that parents can trust. But Bobbie has never been just a formula company. When the 2022 national infant formula shortage left parents across the country unable to feed their babies, we closed our storefront to new customers rather than leave a single existing family without formula. We went to Washington. We got loud. And we opened our Heath, Ohio manufacturing facility to make sure something like that could never happen again. That's who we are, and that's what you'd be joining. Bobbie for Change Our advocacy arm, Bobbie for Change, exists because making great formula isn't enough if the systems around parenthood are still broken. We fight for paid federal parental leave, push for legislation to prevent future formula shortages, advocate for feeding equity, and support families navigating impossible situations, including donating formula to parents impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers through the Bobbie Breasties program. We're a company that genuinely believes becoming a parent makes you an activist. The people who work here feel that too. Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 Our salaries are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. This role is on-site at our Heath, Ohio facility, and the range above reflects that market. Final offer within the range is based on experience and demonstrated project delivery. The role: Our capital plan is bigger than our ability to track it. That's the problem you solve. You'll be the operating system for the manufacturing program — schedules, budgets, purchase orders, vendors, documentation, change control, and the meeting cadence that keeps two project engineers and a plant full of stakeholders pointed the same direction. You won't own the engineering. You'll own whether it lands on time, on budget, and with a turnover package someone can actually use. What you'll own: • Support the Program Manager and Project Engineers in planning and executing capital projects from scope definition through startup • Build and maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and Gantt charts, and keep them honest • Track project budgets and forecasts against approved capital, and reconcile committed versus actual spend monthly Initiate and manage purchase requisitions, POs, receipts, and invoice matching, and expedite long-lead equipment and parts • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and OEMs on schedule adherence, deliverables, and site requirements • Run the meeting cadence — agendas, notes, action items, and the follow-up that makes them mean something • Collect and organize technical documentation: drawings, spec sheets, O&M manuals, FAT and SAT packets, spare parts lists, and turnover packages • Route scope, drawing, and equipment changes through the site change control process so GMP impact gets assessed before work starts • Maintain the risk and issue log, and escalate anything that threatens timeline, cost, or quality early enough to matter • Coordinate contractor onboarding, safety orientation, and GMP rules for anyone working in production zones • Bridge project work into operations — commissioning support, qualification handoff, operator training, and documentation turnover • Publish weekly project status and monthly capital review packages for plant and company leadership A good fit if… • You're the person who notices the long-lead item nobody ordered • You can chase a vendor, a controls integrator, and a shift supervisor in the same hour and keep all three cooperative • You're organized in a way other people can use, not just a way that works for you • You want to grow into project management and you want reps, not a title What the Heath plant is actually like • Regulated infant formula facility — every equipment change carries a change control and often a validation requirement • Active production: projects happen around running lines, which means real constraints on when work can occur • A growing capital plan with more scope than structure — you're being hired to add the structure • You'll gown in and walk the floor regularly; this isn't a desk-only role What we would like you to have: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, construction management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 1–3 years supporting projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment; food, dairy, or FDA-regulated experience preferred • Strong Excel plus MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, or equivalent scheduling tools • ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar) for requisitions, POs, and capital tracking • Able to read basic technical drawings — layouts, equipment general arrangements, and P&IDs • Familiarity with GMP documentation and change control, or the appetite to learn it fast • Excellent written and verbal communication across the shop floor, engineering, vendors, and leadership • Comfortable running multiple concurrent workstreams and telling a leader something they don't want to hear • CAPM, Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, OSHA 10/30, or HACCP awareness training are a plus, not a requirement Willingness to gown in and work in a GMP production environment, and to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally The honest picture: Regulated infant formula facility. FDA inspects. Concrete floors, loud equipment, continuous production. You gown in every shift — hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear. No phone on the floor. Coordination here means chasing people who are already busy, and the schedule you publish is the one leadership will hold you to. If you want a role where the process already exists and you follow it, this isn't that — and that's okay to know before you apply. Why Bobbie: We're a parent-founded company that makes organic infant formula in the US. We opened our Heath, Ohio facility because we believe families deserve to know who makes their baby's food and how. The people who run this plant are the reason every can meets the standard. • Work that matters — the projects you land are the ones that add capacity for families who need formula • A clear runway: this is the role we grow project managers out of • We promote from within and invest in people who invest in us Our Core Values Be Radical - We are change makers, rule breakers and stigma shakers. We are unapologetically bold and use our megaphone for good Nurture the Tension - Parenthood is full of healthy tension, and so is building a company.
