Terms of Service for JobJot

Last Updated: October 15, 2026 1. Introduction Welcome to JobJot (https://jobjotai.com). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. 2. Services Description JobJot helps job seekers in the United States apply to fewer jobs and get more interviews. Our services include: - Match Checker: Free comparison of your resume against any job description - Tailored Applications: Resumes, cover letters and answers to application form questions, written from your real experience for a specific job - Interview Prep: Likely interview questions for a specific job, with answer outlines from your resume - Job Board: Jobs from companies' own career sites, plus jobs posted directly by employers - Job Agent (Pro): New jobs that fit you, shortlisted for you, with applications prepared for the strongest matches - Employer Invitations (optional): If you turn them on, employers who post on JobJot can invite you to interview; your details are shared only if you accept Features marked "coming soon" on our website are not part of what you purchase until they launch. 3. Plans 3.1 Free: Includes the match checker, your profile, one tailored resume and cover letter, and your top 3 job matches. 3.2 Pro: Available as a weekly ($19), monthly ($29) or 3-month ($59) subscription. Includes tailored applications for every job you apply to and the job agent. 3.3 Service Changes: JobJot reserves the right to modify features, pricing, or service offerings at any time. Active subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance of any material changes. 3.4 Service Availability: While we strive to maintain our services, we do not guarantee that all features will remain available indefinitely. 4. Usage Limitations and Fair Use 4.1 Fair Use: Pro includes daily fair-use limits (currently up to 25 applications you start and 10 prepared by the job agent per day) to keep the service fast for everyone. 4.2 Personal Use: Usage must be for your own job search. Bulk or commercial use is prohibited. 4.3 Prohibited Uses: - Creating multiple accounts to get around free limits - Sharing account access with multiple people - Reselling access to JobJot services - Using automated systems or bots to access our services - Using our services to create false or misleading application materials 4.4 Account Termination: JobJot reserves the right to terminate accounts engaging in prohibited uses without prior notice or refund. 5. User Account and Ownership 5.1 Account Registration: Users must create an account with a valid email address. Authentication is handled securely through Supabase. 5.2 User Content: Users retain full ownership of all content they create, upload, or generate using JobJot, including resumes, cover letters, and application materials. 5.3 Your Responsibility: Documents we generate are drafts for you to review. You are responsible for making sure everything you submit to an employer is accurate. 5.4 Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. 5.5 Individual Use Only: Accounts are for individual use only. Sharing account access is prohibited and will result in account termination. 5.6 Account Deletion: Users can delete their account at any time from the Profile page, or by contacting hello@jobjotai.com. Deleting an account cancels any active subscription and permanently deletes the account's data. 6. Job Posts (Employers) 6.1 Price: A job post costs $75 and stays live for 30 days after approval. 6.2 Requirements: Posts must be real, current US jobs with an honest salary range and a working way to apply. You must use a work email on your company's domain and be authorized to post for the company. 6.3 Review: We review every post before it goes live. If we don't approve it, we refund you in full. 6.4 Removal: We may remove posts that are misleading, discriminatory, fraudulent or otherwise violate these Terms. Removed posts are not refunded. 6.5 Dashboard: Each live post comes with a private dashboard link showing views, apply clicks and how many JobJot users match the job. Keep the link private; anyone who has it can see the dashboard. 6.6 Candidate Invitations: Your dashboard lists JobJot users who match your job and have chosen to hear from employers, without their identity. You can send up to 15 interview invitations per post. A candidate's name, email and resume are shared with you only if they accept. You may use candidate details only to consider them for the job you posted. You may not sell, share or reuse them, add candidates to marketing lists, or contact candidates who declined. We may disable invitations for employers who misuse them. 7. Payment and Refunds 7.1 Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information. 7.2 Subscription Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically each week, month or 3 months, depending on your plan, until canceled. 7.3 Refund Policy: Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from your profile. No refunds are provided for partial periods. Benefits continue until the end of the current billing period. 7.4 Failed Payments: If a subscription payment fails, access to Pro features will be suspended until payment is received. 8. User Data and Privacy 8.1 We collect personal data (email, name, resume content) and usage data to provide our services. 8.2 We use cookies for authentication and analytics. 8.3 We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes. 8.4 User-uploaded resumes and documents are stored securely and used only to provide our services. 8.5 For complete details, please refer to our Privacy Policy at https://jobjotai.com/privacy-policy. 9. Prohibited Uses Users are prohibited from: - Using our services for any unlawful purpose - Violating any local, state, national, or international law - Harassing, abusing, or harming other users - Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems - Scraping or copying our job board, research or other content - Transmitting malware, viruses, or malicious code 10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability 10.1 No Job Guarantees: JobJot does not guarantee job offers, interviews, or employment. We provide tools to enhance your job search. 10.2 Not a Recruiting Agency: We are a software platform, not an employment agency or recruiter. 10.3 Third-Party Jobs: Many jobs on our job board come from companies' own career sites. We link to the original listing and cannot guarantee it is accurate or still open. 10.4 Service "As Is": Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. 10.5 Limitation of Liability: JobJot's liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding any claim. 11. Intellectual Property 11.1 JobJot Platform: All rights, title, and interest in JobJot's software, algorithms, job board, research data and content remain the exclusive property of JobJot. 11.2 User-Generated Content: Users retain all rights to content they create or upload. 11.3 License to Use: By using our services, users grant JobJot a limited license to process their content solely for the purpose of providing our services. 12. Governing Law and Disputes 12.1 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. 12.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unsuccessful, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration. 12.3 Jurisdiction: Users agree to submit to the jurisdiction of courts in Delaware for any disputes. 13. Changes to Terms of Service 13.1 JobJot reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. 13.2 Material changes will be communicated to users via email at least 30 days before taking effect. 13.3 Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. 14. Termination 14.1 Users may terminate their account at any time by deleting it from the Profile page, which also cancels any active subscription. 14.2 JobJot may terminate or suspend access to services immediately for violations of these Terms. 14.3 Upon termination, all user data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy. 15.
